AfroLeadership is a Cameroonian civil society organization that promotes the ethical use of data and innovative technologies for citizen participation in development.
As such, she has been selected by the Alan Turing Institute (the United Kingdom's National Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), and the Montreal Center for International Expertise in Artificial Intelligence (CEIMIA) in Canada, for a data justice pilot project.
The goal of this project is to fill a gap in data justice research and practice, by providing a framework to help practitioners and users include issues related to privacy, ethics, as well as considerations of equity and justice in terms of access, visibility and representation of data used in the development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) systems, especially for marginalized, poor and usually invisible in systems.
Knowing the great interest you have in innovative technologies, and in the development of digital and data at the national level, we will be delighted to have you by our side.
